Gracie's Bedding

I do not consider myself to be a picky person, but when it came to picking the bedding for Gracie's room we had a difficult time deciding. Joey of all people wanted it dominated in pink...but I am just not feeling the whole pink thing just yet. So we searched every store imaginable and websites galore. Finally when I was registering at Wal-Mart I found the perfect bedding at a VERY good price. So here is a peak!

24+ Weeks and Counting...

Today we went to the doctor for my 24 week check-up. Upon arrival I completed the sugar tolerance test- YUCK! It tasted a bit like a flat Sunkist, but at 8 o' clock in the morning it wasn't that tasty. I then went up to Dr. Drexel's office and I surprisingly lost another lb. That puts the total to 34 lbs. We heard the baby's heart rate at 133 bpm. I talked to the dr. about my constant headaches and he said it could be the tense muscles in my neck. He recommended me going to see a chiropractor, so I made an appointment for Monday. He is suppose to call with my sugar results. Miss Gracie did measure 'big'. He said that she measured at 26 weeks instead of 24 weeks. But he said not to worry. We go back in four weeks for a 4D ultrasound to check the baby's weight and fluid. At this time we get to meet Dr. Gass who might be delivering Gracie if Dr. Drexel is not available. We finished registering today at Target and Wal-Mart. Joey is really working hard on Gracie's room. I cannot wait to see the finished product and get the baby crib, dresser, and changing table assembled. She is just moving up a storm. Even today it was hard for the nurse to get the heart rate because she was moving so much. I told the nurse that she moves A LOT at night and she said that most of the times they keep the same sleeping habits when they are born....GREAT- ha ha! We could not be happier right now and we hope that God keeps our little one safe until her arrival in just a few months!

It's a GIRL!

On our fourth wedding anniversary Joey and I had the pleasure to find out that we are indeed going to be having a little girl in October! I think we were both in complete shock because Joey's family is completely dominated by boys! But we are just so blessed to be having a healthy precious little girl. I started the shopping and I can tell you that it is NOT going to be easy not to buy, buy, buy sweet little girl clothes. There are so MANY! Amber and I went down to Opry Mills today and the Carter store had a huge sale up to 70% off and we both dropped a little $$$...but so worth it! So we are naming the little angel Gracie Allise (pronounced Alease, not Alice). She is going to have Joey wrapped around her little finger. He was so funny yesterday when we registered at Target. He would NOT give me the registry gun. He is going to be such a good daddy. Thank God for my little family! Check out picture #2 in the ultrasound...she has her precious little hand/arm up by her face. GODLOVE IT!

End of the School Year Madness

Well Joey is almost finished putting on the new roof. I think he likes about 30 ft or so. Then it is time to FINALLY start on the baby room. I told Joey last night that I am on the down hill slide of the pregnancy and we need to get things moving. Our furniture came in last week at Babies R Us so we have to go pick that up. We go this Thursday (our 4 year Anniversary) for another ultrasound to see if the baby will let us take a peek. I am just SO BEYOND trilled to start buying things as any other new mom would be. Then that night we go for an infant CPR class. This weekend I wrote 5 papers for the Research Methods class so me and Amber are driving up to BG this morning to deliver them in person. One more quiz for that class and it is DONE! However, we started a new PSY class today, are we going to get a summer?? HA! So kindergarten graduation was fabulous in the new gym. I am looking forward to moving into my bigger room next year with a Dr. Seuss theme! I have a million things to get accompished this short summer. Eddy, Lisa, Heston, Aspen, Grandma and Papaw are leaving Thursday for their annual BIG trip to Canada, Maine, NYC, etc. for two weeks. So little Maddie will finally be spending some quality time with her mommy and daddy (even though truth be told she would rather be at grandma's house any day- but what "grandkid" doesn't).
