A Beautiful Weekend

This weekend was absolutely wonderful. Saturday Lisa, Kristin, Joey, Aspen and I went down to Nashville so Kristin could get fitted for her wedding dress. She is going to make one beautiful bride. We came home and went fishing in the pond. Joey caught several bass and catfish while Aspen, Heston and myself caught little blue gill. Sunday afternoon we went to Bowling Green to Lowes to get a few things, ate at O'Charleys, to the mall to get some shoes, and to Wal-Mart. Joey has been laid off now for two weeks and I must admit I am getting used to him being at home on weekends and having supper on the table almost every night!

First Ultrasound

This is a picture of our first ultrasound on March 9th, 2009. I was 8 weeks and 5 days. I have always knew it would be exciting to be able to see a living baby growing inside my tummy, but on this day the excitement and emotion took over. We saw him/her on the screen with the flickering heartbeat. It was amazing. Then we got to go back at week 12 on April 3 and hear the precious heartbeat at 164 bpm. What an amazing gift from God!

New to Blogging

I decided to jump on board with blogging. Since I am now an expecting mommy to be I thought it would be a great opportunity to share my exciting life with my loved ones. Right now I am a little over 15 weeks pregnant with our little miracle baby. After 19 months of trying we were blessed on Feb. 4th to find out I am indeed pregnant with our first child. So far in the pregnancy I have been sick at night for the most part, but SO worth it. We have been to the doctor three times so far. Dr. Drexel is very nice. We got to see our little baby on the moniter and the last time we heard his/her heartbeat at 164 bpm. I am so excited to see if we are having a little boy or little girl. We do have names picked out (but subject to change; however we are pretty stuck on these). A boy- Jaxen Neal after Joey's dad Jack and Joey's middle name Neal. A girl- Gracie Allise after my middle name Alisa. Hopefully in the next month I will be able to reveal the big mystery!
