Two Weeks Old and Already Caught a Cold...

Poor Gracie. She was just two weeks old on Wednesday and already has a nasty sinus infection. She had the sniffles over the weekend but as the week progressed she go worse. So Joey and I took her to the doctor yesterday and they put her on some antibiotics. I hope this helps because she has been so cranky and not sleeping well at all. On the bright side she super cuddly and wants to be held which is no problem with me because I could hold her and snuggle 24/7. Here are so new pictures of our precious gift from God:

Gracie Allise Wright-Reflection on Giving Birth

Tears of pain soon turned into tears of happiness on September 23rd, 2009 at 1:17 PM. Our beautiful daughter has finally arrived. God, Joey, and I created the most precious child in the entire world. Gracie weighed 6 lbs 3 oz and was 18 3/4 inches long. I must admit when labor began I kept repeating...I cannot do this...but with the good Lord watching over me and a little help from medications Gracie arrived after just one push! I did not think it was possible to love someone that much...I mean I love my family, I love my husband, but the love of a child takes love to a much different level. This past week we have just watched her every move, every sound, and every second has been complete heaven. Right now she is sitting in her swing with her bright blue eyes watching Mommy and she has a slight case of hiccups (so of course I stopped mid typing to go capture it on the video camera). After trying to have a child for over 19 months Gracie was a miracle and a blessing. I honestly thank God every other second of the day for such a beautiful, healthly, and precious baby. And Joey...wow...he is such a wonderful daddy. He is so attentive and bless his heart he kisses her 24/7. So although we are sleep deprived, a little stir crazy, and beyond busy....Gracie Allise Wright seems to melt all our worries and troubles away. Here are a few pictures of our little angel:

Gracie's Nursery

I have to say one thing about remodeling...it is an absolute PAIN! But the finished product is looking wonderful. Here are a few pictures throughout the process. Now we have to assemble the furniture and grandma has to finish the bottom half of the curtains. Cannot wait to just go in and soak it all in!

Gracie Allise- 4D Ultrasound

Today Joey, Grandma, Papaw and I made our way to Dr. Drexel's office. Grandma and Joey went in with me and got to see Gracie's precious little face...well half of it because she would not put her arm down. I got good and bad news. She weighs 2 lbs. 11 oz. right now, so that is good. But I did have high blood pressure and he put me on some medication. He said if it did not improve then more than likely I would be off work sooner than later. The news scared me a bit. Plus my blood was RH positive which means I needed to get a shot because my body could see Gracie as a bacteria and try to get rid of it. But the doctor assured me this was OK and the shot would prevent any trouble. So we are so excited about our little girl. She is so precious! Her heartrate was 159 bpm. I start going every two weeks now and have a stress test done everytime I go to make sure the baby is ok. Please keep us in your prayers!

Happy Birthday Blake Deweese!

My best friend Amber Deweese and her husband Jonathan had their baby boy Blake yesterday (7-7-09) on their two year wedding anniversary! He was 7 lbs 11 oz and was 20 inches long. He has the sweetest smile, cutest dimples, lots of hair, and of course TONS on love from family and friends. Congrats!!
