Smoky Mountains Fall Break 2010
A mountain vacation with great friends is exactly what we needed. During our trip we went to the Dixie Stampede, The Titanic, to see live bears, Ripley's Aquarium, rode the trolley, ate at the Old Mill and lots of great pancake houses! We shared laughs and will cherish these memories forever. It was the best vacation ever because Gracie make it so special. To see her eyes light up at the Dixie show was priceless. She cheered, clapped, and danced. It is amazing to see things through the eyes of a child. Here are a few snapshots of the trip:

This past year we have shared many wonderful memories that we will cherish forever. Happy Birthday to the most beautiful baby girl in the universe who makes us laugh and smile everyday! You have given us the best gift...being your parents. Thank you for such a wonderful first year of being parents and I cannot wait to see what year 2 has in store for the Wright family! We love you!

Chicka Chicka Boom BOOM !
As a kindergarten teacher one of the first books and activities I complete with my class is the wonderful book, "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom". I decided that this might be interesting for Gracie and I was right :) She loved the video on unitedstreaming.com and danced her way through the alphabet up the coconut tree!

Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee...
As usual we decided to take a last minute trip and had no idea where to go. So the last minute decision was Saturday morning around 8 AM to head down to Chattanooga, TN to stay at the Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel, ride the Incline railway, and the visit the TN Aquarium. Gracie adored the aquarium. She was so attentive to all the animals especially the penguins!! She would point and laugh. We we arrived it was a nice 76 degrees. We ate on the Silver Diner Pizza Train and swam in all 4 of the pools at the hotel. Gracie LOVED the waterfalls! This morning the temperature was not as pleasing at 97 degrees we ROASTED on the railway, but Gracie enjoyed every minute of it because when we left she slept from Chattanooga all the way to Springfield!!! Overall it was a nice mini vacation to end Summer break 2010. Here are a few pictures of the trip:
